This past Saturday, the Dare Devils traveled to the NY Raptors’ home ice for a double header. Our players made us proud with two stellar performances.  Game 1’s victory over the Raptors saw goals from Ryan Griffin, Vincent “The Rock” Racamato, Marco Cicchino (2), and Chris Glaab (3). Matty Brighton was suburb in goal with many spectacular saves.

Game two against the LI Blues was a nail biter as we skated to a 4-4 tie. The game was highlighted by goals from Andrew Basista, Lyndall Lu, and Ryan Griffin (2). Again, Brighton was extraordinary in goal with over 15 saves.  This week’s “Throw Your Body into the Game Award” goes to Andrew Basista!  Andrew played some great hockey and was all over the ice leading the team in hitting the boards and sliding on his butt! Love that enthusiasm!

The evening was capped with a dinner of pizza, pasta and salad. Unofficially, Andrew Piccirillo had the distinction of being the “Most Valuable Eater” consuming 2 hot dogs, 2 orders of fries, 4 bags of candy, ice cream,1 slice of pizza and a large quantity of cake and cookies. Good time had by all!

It’s exciting to see the progress our players have made from last year.  Remember... skate hard, play hard, and have fun.
