This past weekend we traveled to Aston, PA to face the Fearless Flyers. Wake up call for all involved was around 5:00 am Saturday morning. With little sleep, our team was ready to go as we out skated the Flyers 6-5. Again our guys skated for almost the full 45 minutes and did a great job. Our offense was led by Ryan Griffin who had a hat trick and Andrew Piccirillo, Vincent Racamato, and Lyndell Lu who had solo goals.

Directly following the game the Flyers had Pizza, Philly Pretzels and baked goods for the players and their families.

This week shout out goes to Coach Mario who finally got the goalie equipment right without the help of Coach Ritter. Coach Ritter was very impressed with Mario’s progress as it only took 2 ½ months to master. Next for Coach Mario is to learn to skate. Again Coach Ritter drew the short straw and has been assigned to get Mario to skate like Peggy Fleming!

The Dare Devils have been invited to Albany for the annual tourney on January 14th and 15th 2012. We have also been invited to Long Island for a day of instruction followed by the first annual Winter Classic on the same weekend. The LI Blues will be hosting and on Saturday night we are planning on attending the Islander game. The cost of the hockey game tickets will be picked up by the Dare Devils. We decided to send two different teams to Albany and Long Island.

Over the next week I’d like you to decide what venue you will be traveling to. I need to provide the Blues with a headcount so they can purchase Islander game tickets. For the players going to Albany make sure you reserve your hotel room this week too.
